Performance by Reza Derakshani

Painter and Musician Reza Derakshani has been performing worldwide for more than 20 years. The wide range of his musical work includes collaborations with renowned artists such as: John Densmore of the Doors, Madonna, Brandford Marsalis, David Darling, Deepak Chopra and many others as well as performing at the Montreux jazz festival, Central park summer stage in NY, Kennedy Center in WDC, Queen Elizabeth’s hall in London, Brooklyn museum, Juilliard school of music, Museo Maxxi in Rome, Gnawa music festival in Morocco, Metropolitan museum and numerous live shows such as: FIP Radio France, ABC TV, NPR, and BBC of London, to name a few. He currently works between Tehran, Europe and the US.

For the Creek Art Fair: Improvisations on Persian classical and folk music by multi instrumentalist and vocalist Reza Derakshani who will perform on The Tar, Sehtar, Ney and Kamancheh.

His music is deeply rooted in Persian traditions but the unique style and interpretation of Reza Derakshani provides a memorable night.
